A Tariqah that branches from Al-Tariqah Al-Ahmadiah Al-Idrisiah is Al-Tariqah Al-Ja'fariah, founded by (and whose name this tariqah holds) Shaykh Soleh Al-Ja'fari , a descendant of Imam Jaafar As-Sadiq , who is renowned amongst lovers of Ahlul-Bait. Shaykh Soleh Al-Ja'fari has received authoritisation from Al-Sayyid Muhammad Al-Syarif and received the tariqah at the age of 19 from his father Shaykh Sayyid 'Abdul 'Aali , the son of Sayyid Ahmad ibn Idris . Shaykh Sayyid 'Abdul 'Aali in turn received the authoritisation from Shaykh Muhammad ibn 'Ali Al-Sanusi , who got his ijazah from Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad ibn Idris Al-Fasi . At the time of Sayyid Ahmad Ibn Idris's passing, his son Shaykh Sayyid 'Abdul 'Aali was just 7 years old. When Shaykh Sayyid 'Abdul 'Aali was older, he migrated to Makkah Al-Mukarramah and studied under Shaykh Sayyid Muhammad ibn 'Ali Al-Sanusi . Shaykh Sayyid 'Abdul 'Aali followed Shaykh Sayyid Muhammad ibn 'Ali Al-Sanusi in his migration to Libya and lived with his beloved teacher until his passing in Jaghbub, Libya on 1276H.
Shaykh Soleh Al-Ja'fari bin Muhammad bin Soleh bin Muhammad bin Rifai’i whose geneology includes Saiyidina Ja’far As Sodiq bin Saiyidina Muhammad al Baqir bin Saiyidina Ali Zainal Abidin bin Maulana Husain bin Imam Ali bin Abi Talib , was born in Dongola, Sudan, in1328H (1910 AC), and passed away in Egypt on the afternoon of Monday 18 Jamadil Awal 1399 Hijrah (1979 AC)
